The only app Ive ever seen have this problem. ZERO STARS.

Its not the PC version. It cant run in the background at all, as it uses too much resources. So, developers, allow the app to access the clock, without the iPad to be awake and running this in the foreground. Just dont even bother.

As said, this isnt a typical game, if it even is one. For the most part, all there is to it is watching the mountain in its environment and reading its thoughts about it and other things while listening to ambient sounds. What you can control is the camera angle and zoom, (You can zoom out as far as what appears to be space) and two rows of keys that play dreamy sounding glockenspiel notes. Part of what makes this interesting is what secrets you can discover. Shortly into the game I discovered a simple melody that triggered an effect on the mountain, and who knows what else there is. So really, anyone who gave this a bad review was expecting things from it that it wasnt meant to have. If youre a thinker who wants a calming, more laid back "game", then this would work for you.

The lag is horrible on my 5s. This "game" is a joke.

this game gives you a sense of serenity and calmness and is meant for you to sit down, relax, and enjoy the sounds of nature. if you want your mountain to be clean just play the piano on the bottom until a sort of force field shows up around your mountain and it will deflect all objects that fly toward your mountain. [ must play piano constantly ] if you want your mountain to have stuff on it then just sit back and wait. I have to say its quite entertaining to sit and wait to see what kind of random objects will crash into my mountain, one of my experiences with a mountain involved a giant rubber duck crashing into my mountain and also a sword and a sailboat. as you can see the objects vary and you can end up with anything in your mountain. if you want to speed up the time of your mountain then play the piano really fast and time will pass faster in your mountain. also, I didnt have any problems with glitches or lag with the app [ I have an iPhone 5c ] all in all I would say this app isnt for everybody. if youre more of a person who likes to have an adventure I wouldnt recommend this game. if youre into discovering new things and secrets with no actual direct path in where you and your mountain are going I would recommend this app. the graphics to me are stunning and if you really dont like the thoughts you can just turn them off. I personally like the occasional thoughts and some of them can be entertaining. it also knows when you leave the app because when you come back it will give you a message like "that was the best sleep Ive ever had" or "long time no see" I also like how the "ambience" gives an air of calm and how the mountain is all alone. if you were one of the people who said you wanted to see animals and people, yes that is a good idea but it would ruin the "no controls" game and ruin the purpose of the game which is to sit back, relax, and enjoy the mountain and your time with it.

This app is so calming an so fun to watch. My brother has it as well and we live in different states and watch the mountains together as we text back and forth about it. The only thing is, I cannot figure out how to move object around. Otherwise this is the best app Ive purchased this far!!!

I would have rather spent my $1 at the dentists office.

Its long and crappy its not a game its an "experience" so dont buy

There is a piano just like the PC version all you have to do is put the Mountain View in the galaxy so youre viewing it from the galaxy and then you rotate it. You rotate it until suddenly the mountain goes "not this again" and keyboard will appear you wont see them but they will be there, and theyll appear as almost white transparent squares. You have to spin the mountain for a good time until they show up.

I bought the game on the PC and loved it, its just as amazing on the phone.

This is a really creepy and depressing game. Dont waste your money on a 3D mountain in the middle of space. Its not and never will be worth more than $0.00. If you think youre going to see the environment change, then skip this. The mountain never changes, you just watch it float eerily in the void of space. Its like the didnt even try. Its sad people spent so much time on this game. Its not like a city will be built nearby or it will erupt, it just floats there and gives you creepy messages and enormous baseballs the size of trees. There isnt a soul in sight, just trees that do nothing. They dont die or grow and nobody will ever show up to cut them down or plant more of them. I feel like a chump for buying this pathetic excuse for a game. Please, dont buy this. Its fun for 15 minutes and has no purpose. It must be a gag. I thought the environment would change, but no. This has distributed, embarrassed, and swindled me. I literally want to punch the developers in the face right now. Apple, please give me a refund for this piece of crap. Also,

Its been three days since Ive had this mountain and nothing has happened. No things have appeared, nothing has changed. Nothing. Its making me more angry than calm. But Im going to keep the app and still check it. I just want junk on my mountain already! Ill give it two more days but if nothings happened on day five its being deleted

When I watch my mountain slowly rotate I reach down my pants and slowly touch myself, thinking of how insignificant I am in this world. While I touch myself I imagine my mountain slowly going up my butt.

This game is a prank on anyone who falls for it. Dont buy it, its a scam. Theres a PS1 level graphics green cone that you spin with your finger. Thats it. "Ooh the scenery changes!" I stared at this stupid thing for an hour and all that changed was a trash can just appeared in the mountain. Wow, so fun. This is not the next big thing. There is literally no audio whatsoever, yet options to turn off this literal lack of sound. Maybe Im experiencing a glitch.

An experience

This will be my first negative Review. Before I buy any app I first watch people play it on YouTube to see if its good. MTN looked wonderful, but after I downloaded it, my mountain has no sound. Just the music keys make sound but nothing else. Without sound, its just not the same.

If you are interested in Mountain, just watch a you tube...its just a spinning top in space with garbage on it. For a "zen" exoerience, try Prune or Monument. Better music, prettier graphics, actual gameplay. Sad, sad mountain.

I always wanted to be a mountain. My friends said "No you cant" and my family wouldnt let me go to mountain school. Now I can be a mountain though. Now I am a mountain. I collected a barrel, and Im very excited to continue collecting and organizing my mountain-items. When I get a little tired of my barrel and sparkly trees I go to space and get some perspective. Good.
